What Are Digital Keys in AXP?

Summary: The Digital Keys menu serves as a control panel for managing digital keys at a property. It provides an organized system for tracking which guests have digital keys and the rooms they are assigned to.

Permissions Required: Role required in AXP to manage Digital Keys are Concierge, Location Admin, or Brand Admin.

​This page only works for Dormakaba, Salto lock providers if keys are Apple Wallet Key or Google Wallet Keys. Anyone on Assa Abloy locks will need to manage through a different platform such a Vostio for Apple Wallet Key or Google Wallet Keys.

The page works for all Bluetooth Low Energy keys.

Why Use the Digital Keys Menu?

  • Identify specific digital keys assigned to guests.

  • Set expiration dates to automatically deactivate digital keys after the intended checkout date.

  • Monitor and control all active digital keys at a property.


Using the Digital Keys Section

1. Navigate to Digital Key in the left hand side menu.

2. A table will display an overview of all issued digital keys.

3. Use the Search Bar to locate a key by Access Number, Profile Name, or Device Code.

4. Review Key Details, including status, assigned room, guest profile, key type, and expiration date.

Description

Search

Find a digital key using Access Number, Profile Name, or Device Code.

Status

Displays whether a digital key is issued or revoked.

Access

Shows the room number the digital key grants access to.

Profile

Identifies the guest assigned to the digital key.

Key Type

Specifies the type of key (e.g., Joiner, Primary).

Media

Indicates the device type containing the mobile key.

Device

Displays the unique identification code of the device holding the mobile key.

Issued

Shows the date the digital key was created.

Expiry

Displays the date when the digital key will no longer function.


Filters for Digital Keys

The Mobile Keys management interface includes filters to help users customize their views.

Filter Type

Options Available

Date Range

Select a start and end date to display Mobile Keys within a specific period.

Mobile Key Status

Filter by 'Issue Failed' or 'Revoke Failed' keys.

Device Status

Choose from 'Invitation Pending', 'Acknowledged', 'Activation Failed', 'Terminated', or 'Termination Failed'.

Key Type

Filter keys based on type: 'App', 'Physical', or 'Wallet'.

Device Type

Display keys by device type: 'Android' or 'iPhone'.

By applying these filters, users can efficiently navigate and manage Mobile Keys within the system.
