What Are User Roles and Permissions?

Summary: Users in the platform provide your staff with access via login credentials and various access rights. These permissions allow them to engage with guests daily and perform their assigned tasks effectively.

Permissions Required: To manage users, you need the appropriate Brand or Location admin role.

1. Accessing User Settings

1. Navigate to "Settings" in the platform from the left hand side menu. I am

2. Click on "Users" to access the user management page.

3. You will see a list of users, along with their details and assigned roles.

2. User Filters

To customize your view of users, you can apply filters such as:

  • Department – Filter users based on their assigned department.

  • Status – View active, inactive, or deactivated users.

  • Role – Sort users by their access level (Conversor, Location Admin, Brand Admin, etc.).

Filters can be found between the search bar and the location selection.

3. User Features

Each user profile includes the following details:

  • Avatar Image – The user’s display image.

  • First & Last Name – The user's displayed name.

  • User Display Name – The name visible to others on the platform.

  • Default Department – The assigned department for the user.

  • Email – The user’s email address.

  • Employee Reference – Relevant employee information.

  • Conversor Role Assignment – Role assignments for specific departments.

  • Location Admin Role Assignment – Admin role assignments for particular locations.

  • Brand Admin Toggle – Option to grant or revoke Brand Admin rights.

4. User Permissions

The actions a user can perform depend on their assigned role. Below is an overview of the different permissions available to each role:

5. No Role Users

  • Users can be deactivated without being permanently deleted.

  • Deactivated users remain within the brand with a "no role" status.

  • They can still log in but will not have access to platform content.

  • This is useful when transferring employees between properties, eliminating the need to delete and re-add users.
