The Email Builder lets you design professional-looking email templates directly in AXP's Engage module, with no coding or design experience required.

Summary: The Email Builder lets you design professional-looking emails directly in AXP's Engage module, with no coding or design experience required.

Permissions Required: Brand Admin, Location Admin, or Marketing Admin role.

Steps to follow

  1. Navigate to Engage > Templates and select New Template.

  2. Drag content blocks onto your layout — choose from Text, Image, Button, and multi-column Columns.

  3. Personalize your email using merge tags, such as the guest's first name or arrival date. A searchable list of available tags is built into the editor.

  4. Select Preview and paste in sample guest details to check your merge tags and layout render correctly.

  5. Select Send Test Email to send a live version to your own inbox for a final check.

  6. Save design -- then it will appear in your Engage > Templates list, ready to use in a campaign.

💡 Tips: Templates are scoped to a specific brand and location. If you need the same design at another property, duplicate the template and save it separately.

🗒️ Note: Legacy templates, which is mapped from your PMS and is used in Creating campaigns, remain fully supported during the transition — nothing will stop working while you switch over.

⚠️ Alert: Deleting a template is permanent, so check it isn't in use by an active campaign first.

Common Questions

Q: Do I need any design or coding experience?

A: No. The Email Builder uses a simple drag-and-drop editor.

Q: Can I use a template across more than one property?

A: Engage email templates are scoped to a specific brand and location. Duplicate the email template and save it separately for each property.

Q: Can I edit an email template after it's published?

A: Yes, reopen it from the Engage > Templates list at any time — just check it isn't in use by a running campaign you'd rather not affect.

💡 Tips: Always check if an Email template is in use by any Campaigns before editing by going through your campaigns.
