This can occur depending on the integrations your property has in place for your Alliants Experience platform (AXP). Synchronization between platforms such as Oracle and AXP is one-way. This means that AXP receives data from Oracle, but Oracle does not retrieve data from AXP.
With that in mind, the way a profile is created in Oracle determines how AXP populates its fields. AXP will take the data provided by Oracle and map it to the corresponding locations within its system.
There can sometimes be an expected occurrence when a profile is created with the email address entered in the phone number field in AXP.
The above example shows an instance of the occurrence showing as a result of the following Oracle fields being filled in the payload as:
When this occurrence is observed and it affects the creation of new profiles, you can resolve this via one of the following approaches:
1. Update in Oracle: Ensure that the "category" field is set to EMAIL and that the corresponding "value" field contains the guest’s email address.
2. If updating is not feasible: In cases where making these changes would impact other data or prevent account creation, we recommend exploring alternative solutions in coordination with Oracle Support to address this issue in future updates.
