How Do I Schedule a Campaign?

Learn how to schedule marketing campaigns in AXP for optimal delivery timing across different time zones.

Summary: To schedule a campaign in AXP (Alliants Experience Platform), create your campaign as normal, and instead of clicking Send Now, click Schedule. Select the date, time, and time zone for delivery. Scheduled campaigns can be edited or cancelled before the scheduled send time.

Permissions Required: Roles required in AXP to schedule a campaign are Marketers, Guest Experience Managers.

Scheduling campaigns allows you to prepare marketing messages in advance and deliver them at optimal times for your audience. This is especially useful when targeting guests across different time zones.

Steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to Engage > Campaigns and select + New Campaign.

  2. Set Campaign type to Scheduled. The Sending status field updates automatically to "Waiting to send" — you don't need to set this yourself.

  3. Choose your Timezone from the dropdown (e.g. Europe/Athens).

  4. Choose how often the campaign should send from the Frequency dropdown (e.g. Daily).

  5. Set the Start date and Time for the first send.

  6. Optionally, tick Select end date to reveal an End date field. This stops the campaign automatically once that date passes — leave it unticked to keep the campaign running indefinitely.

  7. Check the Schedule summary box for a plain-language confirmation of what you've set up, e.g. "Campaign first run daily starting Aug 1, 2026 at 09:00."

  8. Select your Audience and Template, and select Preview template to double-check the email.

  9. Add your sender details under From, Reply To, and BCC — each has its own Name and Email field.

  10. Save your campaign as a Draft, then set it to Live when you're ready to start sending.
