Common Questions

Q: Why can't I see a "Remove" or "None" button to clear the template?

A: There is no dedicated remove button. To clear the selection, open the Check-in Message Template dropdown and choose "Please select one" — this is the blank default option at the top of the list.

Q: I unchecked the "Proactive template" option on the WhatsApp template. Will that stop the check-in message from sending?

A: No — unchecking "Proactive template" only hides the template from the Check-in Message Template dropdown in the UI. The message may still be sent at check-in. To fully stop the check-in message, you must clear the template selection in Guest App Configuration by choosing "Please select one" from the dropdown.

Q: I deleted the WhatsApp template that was set as the Check-in Message Template. Is it now removed?

A: Not necessarily. Deleting the WhatsApp template may make the dropdown appear blank, but the template ID can still be stored in the backend and the message may still send. To properly clear it, go to Guest App Configuration and select "Please select one" from the Check-in Message Template dropdown, then save.
