Validation and Accuracy: Manual input, Open API, and PMS integrations will ensure that only numbers in the correct format are accepted as the Primary Number. This guarantees accurate and reliable data entry.
Last Change Priority: When the correct format is used, the system will recognize and apply the most recent update to the Primary Number.
Comprehensive Change Log: A detailed change log will be maintained for each profile, providing a clear record of any updates to the Primary Number.
Impact of Changing the Primary Number:
Updating the Primary Number will disconnect any existing Smooch integration and archive previous conversations in the profile’s history. While these conversations cannot be reopened, they remain accessible for reference.
If the original number is accidentally removed and later re-added, a new conversation thread will begin, and prior conversations will be preserved in the AXP history linked to the profile.
PMS as the Source of Truth: PMS will always act as the authoritative source for information. Numbers in the correct format from PMS will take precedence over other inputs.
Unique Primary Numbers for Each Brand: A Primary Number must be unique to a brand. For instance, it is not currently possible to message the same PA across multiple profiles.
