Summary: Request statuses in AXP (Alliants Experience Platform) indicate where a request is in its lifecycle. The main statuses are New (just created), In Progress (being worked on), Completed (finished), and Cancelled (no longer needed). Statuses update automatically based on actions or can be changed manually.
Permissions Required: Roles required in AXP to view this information are All AXP users who handle guest requests.
Understanding request statuses helps you track guest service delivery and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Each status represents a stage in the request lifecycle and triggers different notifications and dashboard views.
Request Status Types
New
A request with New status has just been created and has not yet been acknowledged or assigned. New requests appear prominently on the Request Dashboard to ensure they receive attention quickly.
In Progress
When a staff member begins working on a request, the status changes to In Progress. This indicates the request has been acknowledged and someone is actively handling it.
Completed
A Completed status means the request has been fulfilled. The guest may receive a notification that their request has been handled, depending on your notification settings.
Cancelled
Requests that are no longer needed can be marked as Cancelled. This removes them from active views while preserving the record for reporting purposes.
How to Change a Request Status
To change a request status in AXP, open the request from the Request Dashboard, click the Status dropdown at the top of the request detail view, select the new status, and optionally add a comment explaining the change. The status change is logged in the request's activity feed.
