Summary: The Notification feature in the Alliants Experience Platform (AXP) serves as an efficient reminder system for property staff, ensuring that guest requests are managed in a structured and timely manner.
Permissions Required: Role required in AXP to access and manage notifications are Converser, Location Admin, or Brand Admin for reported messages.
Example Use Case
In the scenario whereby a property offers transportation services, and a guest requests concierge pick-up at a specific location. The Notification feature ensures that the staff receives a reminder with key details, such as:
Time and date of the task.
Task status (pending, in progress, or completed).
Requesting guest’s information.
Accessing Notifications
1. Navigate to Notifications in left hand side menu.
By default the reminders list will open first.
2. From here you can view either Following | Reminders | Reported Messages (Brand admins only)
🗒️ You can turn on browser notifications to receive a sound whenever there is an update. Please go to the Browser Notification article for more information.
Navigation of Reminders
1. What has changed?
Previously, when you clicked a reminder:
AXP often navigated to a full page view of the request or profile.
Returning to your list or calendar meant using the browser back button or re‑opening the Reminders view.
With the new behaviour:
Clicking a reminder opens the relevant details in a sidebar.
Your current page (Today, Reminders list, Calendar) stays visible in the background.
A dedicated Back button in the sidebar helps you move between related sidebars (for example, from a request to a profile) without leaving the page you’re working on.
2. Opening reminder details from different views
You can open reminder details in the sidebar from three main areas:
From the Today page
Go to Today.
In the Reminders section, click on a reminder item.
The request or profile sidebar will open on the right‑hand side.
Your Today view remains visible, and you can still see your other reminders and tasks.
From the Reminders view
Go to the Reminders page (full list).
Click any reminder in the list.
The relevant sidebar opens:
If the reminder is linked to a request, you’ll see the request sidebar.
If it’s linked to a profile, you’ll see the profile sidebar.
You stay on the Reminders list, so when you close the sidebar you can move straight on to the next reminder.
From the Calendar
Open the Calendar view.
Find and click an item that has a reminder attached.
The sidebar opens with the associated request or profile details.
The calendar stays in view, which is especially useful if you’re managing multiple reminders for the same day or time window.
3. Navigating between request and profile sidebars
Reminders often relate to both:
A guest profile (who the reminder is about), and
A request (what needs doing).
The new sidebar navigation is designed to make it easy to move between those without losing context.
Using the Back button
When you open a reminder:
The first sidebar you see will usually be either the request or profile, depending on what the reminder is attached to.
A Back button in the sidebar allows you to:
Move from a request to the related profile, or
Move back from a profile to the related request
(depending on how you navigated there).
At all times:
You stay on the same main page (Today, Reminders, or Calendar).
Only the content of the sidebar changes as you move back and forth.
4. Staying in context while working through reminders
The key benefit of the new navigation is that you can work through reminders without losing your place.
Example workflow on the Reminders page
Open the Reminders list.
Click the first reminder.
The request sidebar opens.
Review or update the request:
Change the status
If you need more guest context, use the Back button (or appropriate navigation within the sidebar) to view the guest profile.
Close the sidebar when finished.
You are returned to the same spot in the Reminders list, ready to click the next item.
No full‑page navigation is required, and you don’t need to re‑find where you were in the list.
5. FAQs

Q: Does this change how reminders are created or completed?
A: No. Creation and completion of reminders function as before. The change only affects how you navigate to the related details.
