How Do I Revoke or Replace a Digital Key?

Learn how to revoke, deactivate, or replace a digital room key in AXP for security or room change situations.

Summary: To revoke a digital key in AXP (Alliants Experience Platform), open the guest's booking or profile, go to the Digital Keys section, find the active key, and click Revoke. The key is immediately deactivated. To replace a key, revoke the existing one and issue a new key.

Revoking and replacing digital keys is an important security function. It may be needed for room changes, security incidents, lost devices, or early check-outs.

Revoking a Digital Key

When to Revoke

Revoke a digital key when the guest reports a lost or stolen device, the guest changes rooms, there is a security concern, the guest checks out early, or the key was issued in error.

How to Revoke

  1. Open the guests profile.

  2. Navigate to the Operations tab.

  3. Select Digital Keys section.

  4. locate the active key.

  5. Click on the ellipsis (...).

  6. Confirm "Revoke this key only". The key is immediately deactivated.

Replacing a Key

After revoking an existing key, you can issue a new one.

  1. Navigate to the guest booking.

  2. Click Issue Key.

  3. The guest will receive a new digital key for their current room assignment.
