How Do I Use the Conversation Window's Footer?

Let's begin by examining the conversation window's footer:

Adding a Department

  1. Click the + button in the chat footer.

  2. Click Add Department.

  3. Select the department(s) you want to add from the side menu.

Removing a Department

  1. Locate the department name in the chat footer.

  2. Click the blue x next to the department's name.

Closing a Conversation

  1. Make sure the messaging bar is empty β€” there should be no text typed in it.

  2. Click the yellow Close β†’ button at the end of the messaging bar.

⚠️ Important: If there is text in the messaging bar, the Close β†’ button will not work. Clear the text before closing.

Common Questions

Q: Why can't I see the Close β†’ button?

A: The Close β†’ button is only active when the messaging bar is empty. Delete any text you've typed and the button will become available.

Q: Can I add more than one department to a conversation?

A: Yes. Click + > Add Department and select multiple departments from the side menu.

Q: What happens when I remove a department?

A: The department is removed from the conversation immediately. This does not affect any messages already sent.

If all department(s) removed, the conversation will be closed.

In other words, to close a conversation, you can just remove all department(s) in the conversation window.
