How to Edit, Regenerate, and Rate Allin Suggestions

This article explains how to edit Allin's suggested responses before sending, regenerate a new suggestion, ask Allin for a response after staff have already replied, and rate the quality of suggestions.

Summary: When using Allin in Suggested Response Mode, you have full control over every response before it reaches the guest. You can edit suggestions, request a fresh one, generate a suggestion after you have already replied, and provide feedback to help improve Allin's responses over time.

Permissions Required: Converser

How to Edit a Suggestion

If Allin's suggested response is close but needs adjustments before sending:

  1. Review the suggested response that appears above the messaging text box.

  2. Click the Edit Suggestion button.

  3. Make your changes in the text box β€” you can rewrite, add, or remove text as needed.

  4. Click Send Reply to send the edited message to the guest.

How to Regenerate a Suggestion

If you are not happy with the suggested response, you can ask Allin to generate a new one:

  1. Click the Refresh button (the circular arrow icon) next to the suggestion.

  2. Allin will generate a new response to the same guest message using the same conversational context.

  3. Review the new suggestion and choose to Send, Edit, or Regenerate again.

How to Ask Allin After Staff Have Already Replied

If you have already sent a quick reply to a guest (e.g. "just one moment please") and want Allin to draft a more detailed follow-up:

  1. Click Ask Allin in the conversation window.

  2. Allin will generate a new suggested response that takes into account all previous messages in the conversation β€” including the reply you already sent.

  3. Review, edit if needed, and send.

πŸ’‘ Tips: This is useful when you need to buy time with a quick acknowledgement and then come back with a thorough response.

How to Rate Allin's Suggestions

You can provide feedback on each suggestion to help improve Allin's performance.

Next to any suggested response, click the Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down button.

  • Thumbs Up β€” The suggestion was helpful and accurate.

  • Thumbs Down β€” The suggestion was unhelpful, inaccurate, or not appropriate.

Using these feedback buttons helps the team analyse and improve Allin's responses over time.

Common Questions

Q: Will an edited message show as AI-generated?

A: Edited suggestions display an AI symbol next to the user's name with the label "assisted by chatbot." This indicates the message was based on an AI suggestion but was modified by a staff member before sending.

Q: Does the regenerate button produce a completely different response?

A: The regenerated response uses the same conversational context, so it will address the same guest question but may be worded differently or emphasise different details.

Q: Does Allin only suggest responses when the guest messages first?

A: Yes. Allin is an automated response maker, which means it only creates suggestions when the guest is the last to respond in the conversation. It will not create suggestions when staff are the last to message β€” unless you click Ask Allin to manually request one.

Q: Where does feedback go when I rate a suggestion?

A: Feedback is collected and reviewed by the team to analyse Allin's performance and improve the quality of responses.
