Go to Settings in AXP and look for the Room Types column under Rooms.
If you cannot see the Settings tab, check your role. Only Brand Admins and Location Admins can access this section. Conversers, contractors, and other roles will not see this tab.
If you have the correct role but room types are not appearing, check which PMS (Property Management System) your property uses from Settings > Intergrations.
Room types are automatically synced from Oracle Opera Cloud (OHIP) only. If your property uses a different PMS (such as Apaleo, Infor, Shiji, or iReckonu), room types will not sync automatically and must be created manually in AXP.
How to add a Room Type manually

Go to Settings in AXP.
Under Locations, find and select your location.
Navigate to the Room Types tab.
Click + Room Type to create a new room type.
Fill in the required details and save.

Q: I'm a Location Admin but I still can't see Room Types — why?
A: If your property is not integrated with Oracle Opera Cloud (OHIP), there may be no room types to display yet. Room types for non-OHIP properties must be created manually. Contact your Brand Admin to set these up in Settings > Rooms > Room Types.
Q: My property uses OHIP but room types aren't showing up — what should I do?
A: Room types sync automatically from OHIP via an overnight import job. If types are missing, it's possible the sync hasn't run yet, or the room types haven't been configured in Opera Cloud. Check that room types exist in Opera first, then wait for the next sync or contact support.
Q: Which PMS integrations support automatic room type syncing?
A: Currently, only Oracle Opera Cloud (OHIP) automatically imports room types into AXP. All other integrations (Apaleo, Infor, Shiji, iReckonu, HAPI, Knowcross, etc.) sync individual rooms but not room types. Room types for these properties must be added manually.
Q: Why do I see rooms in the AXP Rooms section but no room types assigned?
A: The rooms visible in the AXP UI may come from a different PMS integration (e.g. Knowcross) than the one that manages room types (OHIP).
