How Do I Create a Request?

Summary: The Alliants Experience Platform (AXP) offers multiple ways to create a request, allowing users to efficiently manage guest needs. This guide outlines the different methods available to initiate a new request as well as how to make a reminder or an assignment during the creation process.

Permissions Required: All users with access to AXP can create requests and duplicate requests.


Ways to Create a Request in AXP

(i) From the Main Dashboard

1. Click the blue plus icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

2. Select "Create Request".

3. Fill out the details in the request creation interface.

4. Click the button "Create Request" to save.


(ii) From the Requests Menu

1. Navigate to Requests in the left hand side menu.

2. Click the button + New Request.

3. Fill out the required details.

4. Click "Create Request" button to save.


(iii) From within a Guest Profile

1. Locate the guest's profile using the Search Bar or the Today Page.

2. Click on the desired profile.

3. Click the action ⋮ button in the top-right corner.

4. Select the option "Create a Request".

5. Enter the necessary details.

6. Click the button "Create Request" to save.


(iv) From within a Guest Conversation

1. Open a guest Conversation.

2. Click the blue + icon next to the messaging text box.

3. Enter the required details in the side panel.

4. Click the button "Create Request" to save.


How to Duplicate a Request

Summary:
The Duplicate Request feature allows you to quickly create a new request based on an existing one. This is particularly useful for recurring guest requests or similar tasks that require only minor adjustments.

Steps to Duplicate a Request:

  1. Navigate to the Requests section and select an existing request.

  2. Click the action button (⋮) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select "Duplicate Request" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Modify any necessary details in the request form.

  5. Click "Create Request" to save the duplicated request.

Create a reminder at time of making a Request

When making a new request you will see a checkbox option to "Add reminder" this will open a new box to fill in your reminder action and optional alert.

  1. Make a new request

  2. Scroll down and check "Add Reminder"

You also have the option to "Create another reminder" or "Add assignments"

Add Assignment when making a Request

You can assign teammates or other departments to the request at the time of making one. This can help streamline the allocation of requests for your teams.

  1. Make a new request

  2. Scroll down and check "Add assignments"

  3. Choose either user(s) or department(s) to assign this request to
