How Do I Manage Room Types?

Summary: This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to access, view, and create Room Types within the Alliants Experience Platform (AXP).

Permissions Required: To manage Room Types, you must have either Location Admin or Brand Admin permissions within AXP.

1. Accessing Room Types:

1. Navigate to the Settings section from the main menu.

2. Click on Locations to view the list of available locations.

3. Select the location of interest by clicking on it to view the full details.

4. From the available menu options, click on Room Type.

5. Your Locations page should resemble the example shown in the GIF below.

2. How to Create a Room Type:

1. Once in the Room Types section, click the + Room Type button.

2. A side menu will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

3. Fill in the required fields:

  • Room Type Code: Enter a unique code for the room type.

  • Room Type Description: Provide a brief description of the room type.

  • Class: Specify the class of the room.

  • Image (URL): Add the URL for an image representing the room type.

  • Display Name: Enter the name you want to be displayed for this room type.

  • After filling in all the necessary details, click Save Changes to create the new room type.
