Why Can't I Find a Booking on the Bookings or Today Tab?

You can find a booking using the global search bar or the Search tab, but it doesn't appear on the Bookings tab or the Today tab. This is usually because the booking is assigned to a pseudo room. The filters on these tabs hide pseudo rooms by default.

Permissions Required: Any AXP user role (Converser, Location Admin, or Brand Admin)

What is a pseudo room?

A pseudo room is a room in your property management system (PMS) that doesn't represent a physical guest room. Examples include meeting rooms, virtual rooms, or placeholder rooms used for administrative bookings. By default, AXP filters out bookings linked to pseudo rooms on the Bookings and Today tabs.

How to find such bookings?

  1. Go to the Bookings tab or the Today tab in AXP.

  2. Click the filter icon (funnel icon) on the right side of the search bar to open the Filters panel.

  3. Look for the ROOM TYPE filter in the Filters panel and click on it to expand it.

  4. Check the Include pseudo rooms checkbox.

  5. Click Apply to save the filter.

  6. The booking should now appear in your list.

How to confirm the room is a pseudo room?

If you're unsure whether a room is a pseudo room, you can ask your admin to check:

  1. Go to Settings > Rooms in AXP.

  2. Search for the room number (e.g. 820).

  3. Find the room type of the room, for example "ROW".

  4. Go to Settings > Locations > Room Type, search for the type ROW. If the room is labelled as a pseudo room, this confirms why the booking was hidden.

Permission required: this step needs location admin or brand admin to check. If you cannot see Settings tab, please raise this to your property's location admin or brand's admin.

How to edit a Room Type if it is not a pseudo room?

If you believe a Room Type is NOT a pseudo room, you can ask your admin to edit it:

  1. Go to Settings > Locations > Room Type, search for the type ROW.

  2. Click the 3 dots to edit the room type.

  3. Scroll down and uncheck pseudo room, then save change.

Permission required: this step needs location admin or brand admin to check. If you cannot see Settings tab, please raise this to your property's location admin or brand's admin.

Common Questions

Q: Why can I find the booking in the global search bar but not on the Bookings or Today tab?

A: The global search bar searches across all bookings regardless of room type. The Bookings and Today tabs have filters that exclude pseudo rooms by default. You need to enable the Include pseudo rooms option in the ROOM TYPE filter to see these bookings.

Q: Do I need to enable this filter every time?

A: The filter setting resets if you don't save the view. If you frequently work with pseudo room bookings, consider saving a custom view with the Include pseudo rooms filter enabled by clicking Save view after applying the filter.

Q: Does this apply to both the Bookings tab and the Today tab?

A: Yes. Both tabs have the ROOM TYPE filter in their Filters panel, and both hide pseudo room bookings by default.
